Today, the objective is to understand and know that some words have silent letters. Have a look at the power point then find the missing words on the grid. There is the choice of an easier worksheet, or a trickier one, you will have to really think about some of the answers. It’s ok to ask an adult to help, as long as you can write the spelling correctly yourself.
Mrs Ward will be on Zoom at 10.30 to go through both the GPS and introduce the writing.

Writing
Our writing this week will be something quite personal to you and your family. The aim is to write a travel report on a specific city or area looking at giving your audience information about landmarks or specific areas of interest. If we were at school, we’d all be focusing on London, however, it might be really nice to create a travel report about somewhere you have always wanted to visit. Or have you travelled anywhere that you would like to share with others? You might have visited somewhere really interesting, and have your own photos to add to your work.
If you have visited the place you are writing about, talk to your family to see what their favourite part of the visit was.
So, today is about planning what you will write about. Take time to research the area you are interested in. Even if you have visited that area, you will still need to do some internet research if possible.
