Hemlington Hall Academy

Year 4 – Monday 18th January 2021

Last week we completed an LBQ, and we can see from the results that we need to revisit what a noun is, what an adjective is, what a verb is and what an adverb is.

Have a look at the video and activities on BBC Bitesize here.

Then, try today’s LBQ quiz – you can get to it here, and the code is kgk .

Re-watch the short film Zahra we saw a couple of weeks ago. You can find it here.

Using the adjective help sheet to describe her:

  • Eyes
  • Hair
  • Clothes
  • Tribal tattoos
  • Body

Make sure your capital letters, full stops and spelling is accurate too!

e.g.  Purple eyebrows framed Zahra’s gentle, green eyes. Her dark and soulful eyes glistened with tears.

I hope you haven’t forgotten how to divide a two digit number by a one digit number over the weekend!

Have a look at the first video here to remind you how we did it.

After you have watched the video, make sure you do today’s task.

And remember to look at today’s ‘True or False’ task as well!

Last week we thought about static electricity – today we are moving on to learn about electrical circuits and their components.

Click here for everything you need for today’s lesson – there is a recap quiz from last week as well!

There are some more fun static electricity science activities using things you might have lying around at home here if you would like to give them a go too!
