GPS and Spelling

If you can, please get an adult to test your spellings from last week and attach the evidence to your portfolio.

New spellings will be sent home to practise.

In the GPS lesson, please try to attend the Zoom lesson as it’s tricky to explain all about ambiguity.

Ambiguity is when a sentence can be interpreted in two or more ways.  The key is to use punctuation.  So, the giant panda eats shoots and leaves means you are saying what a giant panda eats.  However if you use commas it says the giant panda eats, shoots and leaves.  Now it means that a giant panda goes somewhere to eat, he shoots something then leaves the eatery!  The worksheet asks you to draw two interpretations.

Writing

Today you will be completing your draft pamphlet.  There will be a zoom drop in, so if you are stuck, you can speak directly to a teacher who is waiting to help you.  Or, if you are super confident, and just want to share your work, please do!
